What I stand for

This campaign isn’t about me—it’s about us. It’s about creating a stronger, more connected Berowra where no one feels overlooked or left behind.

I’m not a career politician. I’m a mum, a businesswoman, and someone who has spent years standing up for people in our community. I believe in getting things done—not for recognition, but because it’s the right thing to do.

I know we can bring renewal to Berowra and build a brighter future for our community. I’m fighting for you, but I can’t do it alone. Let’s make this happen—together.

Tackling the Cost of Living

When I speak to families across Berowra, the message is clear: life is getting harder.

Grocery bills, housing costs, and childcare fees are piling up, and people are struggling to make ends meet. I know firsthand how challenging it is to manage household and business expenses, and I refuse to let families shoulder this burden alone.

As your local member, I’ll work tirelessly to deliver practical solutions that provide relief and build a fairer future for Berowra.

Here’s what I’ll do:

  • Support policies that make housing more affordable, including incentives for rental properties.
  • Advocate for capping childcare fees to make it easier for working families to thrive.
  • Champion renewable energy projects, such as community solar initiatives and batteries, to reduce electricity costs and put more money back into the pockets of Australians.
  • Push for action to address the rising costs of essentials like groceries and fuel, including advocating for an inquiry into the divestiture of the supermarket duopoly to create fairer competition and lower prices.

Affordable Mental Health Support

Mental health is not just a health issue—it’s a community issue, and it’s personal for so many of us.

I’ve heard heartbreaking stories of families and individuals in Berowra who can’t access the care they desperately need. Whether you’re young, a senior, or somewhere in between, everyone deserves high-quality mental health support.

I’ll fight to ensure that mental health care is affordable and accessible for all.

Here’s what I’ll do:

  • Push for increased Medicare-funded psychology sessions to remove cost barriers to care.
  • Advocate for a review of the current ‘care plan’ and expand eligibility criteria to allow more Australians access to life-changing support.
  • Fight for a dedicated mental health hub in Berowra to provide timely services to families, young people, and those in crisis.
  • Expand mental health programs in schools so children and teens can access early intervention and support.
  • Secure better funding for crisis services to ensure no one is left behind in their time of need.

Protecting Women’s Safety

Women in our community deserve more than outdated systems and underfunded services.

I’ve worked with women’s shelters and survivors of domestic violence and seen the incredible resilience of women fighting for safety and dignity. It’s time for leaders who are willing to fight alongside them.

Every woman deserves to feel safe—in her home, her workplace, and her community.

Here’s what I’ll do:

  • Fight for increased funding for women’s shelters so no one is turned away.
  • Push for practical reforms in court processes to make accessing justice less traumatic for survivors.
  • Support school education programs that teach respect, equality, and consent from an early age.
  • Advocate for initiatives that help women rebuild their lives, from secure housing to financial independence and career pathways.

Environmental Protection and Climate Action

Berowra’s stunning bushland and national parks are not just a source of pride—they’re part of our identity.

I’ve walked these trails with my kids and know just how precious they are. But overdevelopment and climate inaction put everything we love about Berowra at risk.

I’m committed to protecting our environment and leading the charge on real climate action.

Here’s what I’ll do:

  • Oppose developments that threaten our bushland and local heritage.
  • Advocate for increased investment in renewable energy infrastructure, creating local jobs and reducing emissions.
  • Secure funding for bushland regeneration projects to protect our environment for future generations.
  • Work to improve bushfire preparedness, because one in three homes in Berowra is at risk.

Strengthening Community Connections

Our community is what holds us together, but I’ve seen how disconnected people feel in a world that’s moving too fast.

That’s one of the reasons I started The Post—to celebrate our stories and bring people together.

Building a stronger Berowra means ensuring everyone feels valued, included, and supported.

Here’s what I’ll do:

  • Fight for better funding for community groups and organisations that foster connection and belonging.
  • Invest in programs that support everyone, from youth groups to seniors’ activities.
  • Push for upgrades to parks, libraries, and sports facilities, creating more places for us to gather, play, and thrive.
  • Advocate for better public transport to connect isolated areas of our electorate and make it easier for people to stay connected.

Transparent Leadership

Too often, we’ve seen politicians prioritise their careers and party agendas over the needs of the people they serve.

I’m running because I believe Berowra deserves better—honest, transparent, and accountable leadership that puts people first.

Here’s what I’ll do:

  • Fight to end backroom deals in Canberra by strengthening the National Anti-Corruption Commission to hold leaders accountable.
  • Advocate for real-time disclosure of political donations so voters know who is funding their representatives.
  • Push for stronger oversight of government decisions, especially those involving developments that impact our community.
  • Hold regular town hall meetings across Berowra to stay connected, listen to your concerns, and keep you informed.
